American Tire Bio: Since 2001 American Tire and Service has been a proud family business serving the community of Rio Rancho. In 2007 we moved to our current location , expanding and upgrading our facility. Doug and Jerri Wilson own American Tire and have 2 sons that work with them. American Tire has won several awards and has received many honors. They are a A+ member of the BBB and have a AAA rating of 99%. They also have received Ethics in Business awards and received the " Best Mechanic " award from the Rio Rancho Observer. The staff at American Tire have done much to help the community that has been so good to them. Such places as St. Felix Pantry, Childrens Psychiatric Center, Soldiers Angels, Watermelon Ranch, and the police and fire department have all benefited from the generosity of the employees and owners of American Tire. They have also sponsored many athletic teams and school programs in the city of Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. The staff at American Tire is honored to have many loyal customers as part of the American Tire family and look forward to meeting more. Doug and Jerri:  Doug and Jerri Wilson are the owners of American Tire. They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Doug has been in the autocare business for 40 years starting with Firestone, having worked in California and Nevada before coming to New Mexico. He has been a salesman, a supervisor, a general manager, and an owner. There is no aspect of autocare that Doug has not taken care of or experienced for himself. It is this wealth of experience that he brings to his business and most importantly to his customers. Doug enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loves to talk with his customers and hear their stories and tell a few himself! Jerri has worked in the customer service business all her life. She has added a personal touch to American Tire with her warm smile and greeting that their regular customers have come to know well. You will see her making coffee and putting out refreshments or providing rides home and back for their customers while their cars are being serviced. She enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren and traveling. Please come by and say hi to her. She loves getting to know her customers personally. Mike: Mike Novick has worked for American Tire and Service for 17 years. He is married with 3 kids and has been a mechanic his whole life. Mike is your "check engine light guy" and has a master certification in automotive repair including engine diagnostics. Mike enjoys spending time with his kids and riding his motorcycle. Mike loves helping people with their cars and giving his customers peace of mind. Mike also enjoys mentoring his kid brother Shawn and teaching him to be a great mechanic. Jim: Jim Cain is a family man with 3 kids and has worked with Jerri and Doug at numerous facilities and across several states. Jim has been a mechanic for 25 years and is a master tech and a engine diagnostic specialist. Jim has had 2 sons that have worked at American Tire and enjoys stock car racing and spending time with his family. Jim loves to help people get to know their cars better and get them on their way safely. Shawn: Shawn Novick is American Tire′s mechanic in training and is the brother of mechanic Mike Novick. He has been learning from one of the best mechanics for most of his life and is looking forward to learning event more. Shawn′s friendly demeanor is a welcome sight to his customers and he loves to get to know his customers. Update: Shawn is now a certified technician, having passed his tests and fulfilled the requirements with ASE. THE CREW Bill: Bill Lyford is a family man who has worked for Doug for more than 12 years. He is a master technician and has worked on cars most of his life. Bill has served in the military and has been a valuable asset to the mechanic team at American Tire. They are proud of his service to our country and his contributions to the America Tire team. Roger and Rocky: Roger DuChaussee and Rocky Gordon are your sales team at American Tire and Service. Roger and Rocky have each worked in the autocare industry for more than 25 years, so both of them are very well equiped to help our customers with anything they may need to ensure a positive experience and are available to answer all your questions. There are many more employees and associates that make up the American Tire and Service family, many of whom have been with Doug and Jerri for more than a decade. We are continuously upgrading our equipment and facilities to keep up with the new autocare technology and we’re looking forward to our family business serving your family in the future.
